Pokhara, 4-5 October 2026: INF Nepal successfully held its 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Multi-purpose Learning Centre, Green Pastures Complex, Pokhara. The two-day gathering brought together board members, general members, staff, expatriate volunteers, and guests to reflect on the organisation’s work over the past year, strengthen relationships and accountability, and discuss priorities for the year ahead.

Day 1: Reflection, Fellowship and Institutional Updates

The first day gave members, staff, and guests an opportunity to connect, reflect, and engage with INF Nepal’s work and achievements. The programme included sharing from programme participants, institutional updates and discussions on key areas of organisational development.

INF International CEO Jonathan Gribbin opened the gathering, followed by a welcome from Ms. Dhana Lama, INF Nepal Board Treasurer.

The programme also included reflections and contributions from members of the INF Nepal community. The afternoon featured powerful stories from programme participants, highlighting the impact of INF Nepal’s work at the community and hospital levels. Mrs. Parvati Tharu from Banke shared her experience with INF Nepal’s Community Health and Development programme, while Mr Shuk Bahadur BK from Gorkha shared his experience of receiving support through INF Nepal’s Hospital and Health Services.

INF Nepal Executive Director Krishna Adhikari presented key institutional updates, including progress under the SAHAS programme and the Green Pastures Hospital Master Plan. A key part of the programme was a session led by Senior Advocate Mr. Govinda Prasad Sharma Koirala, who provided an overview of institutional legal compliance and related procedures, highlighting important considerations for strengthening organisational governance and accountability.

The day also provided an opportunity to remember and honour individuals, families and communities affected by the recent Bhotekoshi flash floods. A special tribute was held in recognition of those who lost their lives and those whose lives and livelihoods were affected by the disaster, as well as the teams, volunteers, and partners involved in the response.

The first day concluded with a vote of thanks from Board Chairperson Madhu Kumar Thapa.

Day 2: 35th Annual General Meeting

The second day focused on the formal proceedings of INF Nepal’s 35th Annual General Meeting. The session began with opening remarks and the national anthem, followed by a welcome address from Vice Chairperson Rajendra Kumar Adhikari.

Chief Guest Ram Prasad Sharma, Chairperson of Pokhareli Christian Community, formally inaugurated the AGM. The programme also included reflections on INF Nepal’s longstanding work and contribution to communities across Nepal.

During the open session, INF Nepal welcomed three new general members—Ms Hai Maya Garbuja, Mr Dinesh KC and Mr Piyush Kayastha. Board Chairperson Madhu Kumar Thapa formally introduced the new members, who received their membership certificates.

Executive Director Krishna Adhikari presented INF Nepal’s annual report, highlighting key achievements, programme progress, impact stories, challenges and organisational priorities from the past year. He also presented the organisation’s plans and priorities for the upcoming fiscal year.

Treasurer Ms Dhana Lama presented the audit report, financial report FY 2082/83 and budget for FY 2083/84, reinforcing INF Nepal’s commitment to sound financial management, transparency and accountability. Updates from Shining Nepal Multi-purpose Company (non-profit distributing) were also presented as part of the programme.

Chief Guest Ram Prasad Sharma commended INF Nepal’s longstanding contribution to health and community development across Nepal and acknowledged its continued partnership with communities and organisations in the country.

The open session concluded with remarks and a vote of thanks from Board Chairperson Madhu Kumar Thapa, who thanked members, staff, partners, and supporters for their continued commitment to INF Nepal’s work.

The organisation also recognised former and outgoing Executive Committee members for their contributions and dedicated service, with the Chairperson and Advisors presenting tokens of appreciation.

Formal Proceedings and Organisational Decisions

The closed session of the AGM, attended by members, focused on formal organisational proceedings and decision-making. The assembly reviewed and approved the Programme and Financial Report for FY 2082/83 and the Plan and Budget for FY 2083/84. The assembly also formally endorsed the minutes of the 34th Annual General Meeting.

Newly unanimously elected members were Mrs Asha Gautam Karki, Mr Raj Kumar Rayamajhi and Mrs Asha Nepali Gurung. The election process was facilitated by Election Commissioner Mr Bhabindra Rana.

The 35th AGM provided an important platform for INF Nepal to review its progress, strengthen organisational accountability and reaffirm its priorities for the coming year. As INF Nepal moves towards its 75th Anniversary, the organisation remains committed to strengthening its health and community development initiatives and working alongside communities and partners across Nepal to contribute to healthier, more inclusive and resilient communities.
